This cultural practice enhances root growth by alleviating compaction and adding oxygen into the root zone among many other benefits. Aeration should be done once a season.
Core Aeration with Over-Seeding
Core aeration, over-seeding and an application of seed-starter fertilizer helps to create a denser, healthier, more uniform stand of grass.
Core Aeration with Slice Seeding
This is a strongly recommended practice. Adding new varieties of grass will not only create a more uniform turf grass stand, but help fight certain disease and pest concerns. Our agronomist has developed mixtures that will tolerate different microclimates specific to your property. Weeds in applicable lawn areas will be sprayed prior to aerating and the lawn height will be lowered. Irrigation heads will be flagged and the lawn will be aerated and over seeded at 3-4 lbs. of appropriate seed per 1000 square feet. One application of starter fertilizer will be applied and recommendations for watering will be made. Upon completion of work, flags will be removed and hard surfaces will be cleared of debris. This procedure removes a significant amount of material and requires disposal of debris either on site or off site depending on clients request and pricing.
This cultural practice is done in the fall using a vertical mower to both control thatch and stand up the grass blade. This labor intensive procedure includes disposing of excess material either off or on site depending on clients request and pricing.
A sample of the soil is taken and sent out for laboratory testing and analysis to determine nutrient values and pH. This gives a baseline for your soil needs and assists our agronomist to tailor a customized turf care program for your property. This service is recommended at the start of all new programs and every five (5) years after that.
A Nutrient Application can be applied based on your soil test results or turf needs. This application can include extra fertilizer, lime, potassium, etc.
Turf Fungicide Treatments
Up to three (3) applications are recommended to control chronic disease problems that exist due to weather patterns and environmental conditions related to shade, sun, and rainfall. These applications will enhance your turf to the highest level. All chemical applications are applied by state certified applicators.
