Grassmaster Plus is seeking to hire a Lawn Technician for the 2022 season, beginning in March. Applying to this position now provides unlicensed candidates with the opportunity to interview early and begin working on obtaining their Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators License.

Grassmaster Plus, Inc. has been providing Full-Service Lawn and Plant Health Care for clients in the North Shore and Metro North since 1980. The Lawn Technician is responsible for servicing residential and commercial customers, providing professional turf applications along with quality customer service. You will help maintain the Grassmaster Plus professional image through extensive training in safety, agronomics and customer service all while using the industry’s premier equipment and most environmentally friendly products.

RESPOnsibilities include:

Customer Service

• Engage and educate the customer
• Diagnose and provide solutions to problems
• Consistently evaluate the quality of services being provided to customers and develop/correct procedures to minimize customer complaints
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the materials and equipment used by employees
• Uphold a friendly and professional attitude while handling customer issues immediately and following through until resolution has been made
• Cultivate relationships with current customers

Service and Application

• Perform service call applications and other special jobs
• Perform program applications to new and existing customers as needed to maintain proper round timing

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate
• Previous lawn care experience is preferred but not required
• Customer service experience is preferred but not required
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of using a computer is required
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license with less than 4 points
• Willing to work in various weather conditions
• Able to work in a fast paced and results oriented environment
